“Without infrastructure there is no development” general state of infrastructure in Latin America

One of the main challenges that the Latin American countries need to face is being able to offer added value in their exports and modernizing their economies to enhance their competitiveness and productivity.

Guaranteeing the current and future economic growth, as well as regional integration, largely depends on the decisions to be made in the field of infrastructure.

The development of infrastructure will not only provide inter-connection and regional trade (diversifying the markets) but will also put an end to the excessive concentration of investments in the region.

This regional report addresses the main actions and projects that Latin American countries will need to implement in order to achieve a comprehensive development which includes sectors such as education, innovation, strengthening the institutions and the quality of infrastructures.
