Review of the two first years of the Government of President Ollanta Humala

Two years after the appointment of the Government of President Ollanta Humala, Peru is experiencing a complex social, political and economic situation.

After a sound start meeting many of the promises made during the campaign, the Government had to tackle multiple conflicts in several sectors: from socio-environmental to union-related issues. During the third stage, there was a large number of reforms promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, led by the Cabinet. Finally, a fourth stage can be seen in which political aspects have entailed a decline in the President’s popularity.
